hot dogs to the rescue

this one was complicated.

i don't remember how it even started, but i do know that i was with a 'good guy' who was on the phone with a 'bad guy'. he was telling the bad guy how all this water and snow was going to be covering the ground everywhere, and somehow this would prevent bad stuff from happening. the bad guy was not dismayed--he said that it was 'too dry' and that 'they' would not be able to slide along the snow and water because of that.

the good guy realized we needed a solution. like petroleum. if we added petroleum to the snow and water it would solve this problem.

we were in a building in a stairway and the flourescent panel lights in the ceiling started to fall apart (we knew this was the beginning of all that snow and water stuff). the light started to fall in pieces with much electrical sparking. water was pouring out. the good-guy squeezed some oil or something into the water, but it was a pitiful amount.

hot dogs! hot dogs could save the day! we had to add hot dogs and some other food product to the pouring water and that would solve the 'dry' problem and make things more slippery, just like we wanted them to be (i'm as confused as you are. trust me.)

good guy disappeared and i took it upon myself to open numerous bags of hot dogs and dump them into the water. the water was hot. some of them started to cook and take on distorted shapes. people on lower floors were yelling 'FIRE!' and evacuating the building. i knew what i was doing was dangerous, i might get trapped in the building, but i was doing it for the good of something big. i kept tearing open the hot dogs and throwing them in the water as it cascaded down the stairs, but to my dismay the hot dogs sank to the bottom rather than floating on top.

i had thrown in all the hot dogs i had, when i saw packaged sausage products approaching floating on the water. i guess i hadn't needed to open the packages. there were some loose mini-hot dogs floating by, but mostly things in yellow styrofoam packaging covered in plastic wrap. i was discouraged i had wasted time, but hoped i could still escape the building.

-----------

i remember also seeing people float by on rafts and in boats. one boat held j (who in real life i dated very briefly a while back) and j's bandmates. j's hair was now bleached on top (it didn't look very good that way).
