proud (otherwise known as bragging)
i know, like, half the 'kids' in this dance! pam, david, and alex are pictured, david is quoted, and i'll see them all (and jessie, too! we can't forget jessie!) on saturday night. i also, um, met savion once. backstage at jelly's last jam in boston. 1994-ish. i was there with the wonderful jimmy mitchell. sigh.

You were WITH Jimmy Mitchell? Geez, you hang out with some of thhe coolest people.
yeah--jimmy coudn't afford tickets and so he just brought me in through the back door!! i met savion during a scene change or something! he was in his little outfit with the grey knickers (i think) and jimmy introduced us and we shook hands. it was really funny/bizarre/exciting!
then jimmy drove me home in his beat up old car. i don't think the windows even shut all the way.
p.s. while we're on the topic of cool people. . . i also know these amazing young tap dancers who just performed with savion on stage in dance THIS! can you believe it??? we even went out after for cake. :)
