safety cat

there was an accident-prone cat in my bedroom. it might have been cous. to prevent further injuries and accidents he had on some sort of reflective collar. more dramatic, though, was the reflective head gear. it came down between his eyes in a little triangle of safety orange. he looked ridiculous and unhappy. i said, 'you're safety cat!' but that did not lift his spirits.

while this was going on there were, quite unexpectedly, several librarians in my bed. i don't know them very well and did not know why they were there. i was also embarrassed at the extremely messy statey of my bedroom.
