poor joni
i heard on the radio that joni mitchell died. coincidentally, i was standing near her car. the doors were open. she was not inside. there was a pair of gloves inside that she had recently worn, and a couple of people came along and smelled the inside of the gloves trying to get a whiff of joni. one person put a glove in her mouth, and i thought that was kind of gross.

hmm....that's a really wierd dream. I've been dreaming a lot lately but I only remember them for a few minutes once I've woken up.
The only one I can remember is one that had Dianne Walker in it - she has this perfume that is distinctively hers & I remember in the dream, I could smell her perfume before I even saw her & I was really excited & she gave me a big hug!.....
sometimes you write about dreams and sometimes you write about reality and sometimes it's confusing to figure out what's going on so for a second i thought joni mitchell really had died. and i got really really sad. then i realized that it was just a dream and i was happy again. so i had this, like, waking up from a bad dream sensation about your dream. weird.
Damn. I always misspell "weird". I go back and forth between "ie" & "ei" every time I write it. I'll get it eventually. I'm just a little slow.....that's what happens when I don't take classes during the summer. Eh, that's a price I'm willing to pay.
Here's a dream I had that I will post to my dreamsite, but to show Laura that she's loved, I'll post it here too:
Janet and I were a couple and I had moved in with her. The first night we were sharing a bed, I realized that I had made a terrible mistake! I'd moved in with someone with whom I did not feel comfortable farting.

Also, I too thought for just a second that Joni Mitchell was dead.
I just realized, also, how lame my dream description w/ Dianne was. There was a whole scenario to the dream and everything - I just wanted to recap the most vivid part because I thought it was cool that I could actually smell her perfume in my dream (the same kind of perfume she uses in real life....maybe I should've italicized hte "she has this perfume that is distinctively hers" bit in the original post...or maybe, I'm just being to analytical of a blog comment. you decide.) I think I'll recap that whole dream on my site - it has a funny bit of dialogue b/w me & Dianne at the end....
PS - I don't know who Joni Mitchell is, so I'm not sure I felt any sympathy for her death, whether it was just in your dream or in real life......
sorry for the scare, folks!
thing is, in real life i've sort of had issues with joni mitchell. honestly. too complicated to explain here, but maybe her dying in my dream was symbolic of a chapter of my life closing.

I've heard of and listened to Joni Mitchell, but I had no idea what she looked like. So, I searched for the source of your picture and found it on "Wikipedia". I discovered that it was actually a self-portrait that Joni made for an album cover. ("Both Sides Now") Very interesting that she chose to portray herself that way. It made me think about how I would portray myself if I were to do a self-portrait. Maybe with Shrek ears. I'm rambling-just wanted to let you know you're loved Laura!
I had the same experience as Deepfry, forgetting that I was reading about a dream and thinking that Joni was really dead. Glad she's not though.
i asked, and joni's very glad that you're all not dead either. but she wanted me to clarify that she is, in fact, "not dead" rather than "undead". just in case there was any confusion...it could really ruin her reputation.
