pink carpet

yesterday i viewed a one bedroom apartment at a surprisingly affordable price in a not-perfect-but-not-so-bad-either neighborhood. well, it was kind of dingy and the brown carpet seemed dirty. the property manager told me he was going to steam clean the carpet this weekend. i dreamt. . .

i went back on sunday (two days from now) to view the apartment post-painting and carpet cleaning. it was lovely! it was clean! and that brown carpet....well...once he steam cleaned it and got out all that dirt, it turned out that it was a lovely shade of deep pink! i was very careful to not step on it with my dirty shoes. there were a few dirty spots he had missed, but overall it was just lovely. and there was this laundry room area i hadn't noticed before. i could keep the cat litter there so it wouldn't stink up the apartment!

i thought i had found my new home. what a relief.
