jigsaw puzzle
i am working/vacationing in the beautiful san juan islands. i bought myself a jigsaw puzzle. i don't usually spend time piecing together puzzles, but it seemed like the perfect beachy-vacation past-time. i have to move out of my work-provided housing today and into my tent. i must finish the puzzle before i have to break it up and put it back in the box! i must!
while i was waking up this morning i had visions of jigsaw puzzle pieces dancing through my head. ooh! there's that piece that fits in right on top of the whale! ooh! there's that piece of the sky right under the lettering! but a puzzle in your head isn't the same as a puzzle on the kitchen table, and i am still not done.
in case it was misleading--this photo is not the image on the jigsaw puzzle. it's just an illustration of the aforementioned beautiful san juan islands. would make a good puzzle though, wouldn't it?

yes, it would...where can I get a puzzle like that? Somebody should make one.

i did have a wonderful time!
i finished the puzzle just in time to take it apart and pack up. i saw some orcas. i drank some wine. i got a little teary when it was time to leave.
