my new apartment

yet another apartment-hunting anxiety dream! i signed a lease last week, but i guess no one told my brain.

i saw a great one-bedroom apartment and a day or so later told the landlord i'd like to sign the lease. he told me that exact unit was no longer available, but there was one in another building. and it was cheap! i signed the lease, he went out of town, and i started to move in. well, i guess i shouldn't have signed the lease without looking at the exact unit for rent first. turns out the only private area was the bedroom. so, i had a bedroom with a door on it. when you walk out of the bedroom there's a living room, but everyone's living rooms are there all in a row without walls in-between! sort of like small backyards with no fences. but it's your living room! forget sitting on the couch half-dressed. forget personal phone calls while sitting on your couch half-dressed. then-the bathrooms! we had to share! they had giant tubs, but still.
