not-so-gay marriage: two straight girls get hitched
i was preparing to go to the wedding of fellow librarians j and c. it was in a hotel and all the last-minute preparations were taking place. i was surprised they were getting married, both being straight girls and all. there was much planning of their new home together. since one was from the north and one from the south (which was which i can't recall as they both live not-too-far south of seattle) there was a north/south color scheme that had been devised for their bedroom as a surprise for them. the bedskirt had autumnal colors (for the northern girl) and summery colors (for the southern girl). they were sewn together in a way that symbolized the merging of these two girls' lives and love.
by the way, j is married to a man. i was sincerely hoping she had divorced him before marrying c. because they were getting married in washington state and two girls (gay or straight) cannot legally get married in washington state, i knew it was possible that j had not actually divorced her husband. i thought this would be terribly unfair to poor c. well, i was happy to learn she had divorced him and could now devote herself to her new wife.

Sounds like that dream was kind of complicated & confusing at first.....at least you were happy by the and & things worked out. After all of that, wouldn't it suck to just end up frustrated wondering what the hell was going on?? Yeah, thought so... Sometimes I have dreams that end like that, where I don't really understand what's going on or why....or sometimes I wake up right when it feels like I'm about to discover some grand solution, some discovery of great importance (even though, at the time of the dream, I have NO idea what that discovery is...). dreams can be pretty crazy. Oh. I still need to write out my wicked witch dream sometime. Well, not now. I've had one too many smirnoffs....i could certainly keep rambling on and on, but this mix of blurriness & sleepiness I'm experiencing is not working to my advantage in seeing which keys I'm hitting when I type. So... time to sleep it off before reahearsal (and maybe coffee!) tomorrow. Night! :)
