long hair, skyrides, and pastries. oh my!
i've been having a lot of nutty dreams lately and so am inspired to visit my long-neglected dream blog.
first thing i remember is sitting at a bar with some friends including laura, jody, and emily. there were two other women there who were laura's friends. there was much discussion when one of the other women unbuttoned her shirt a bit and we couldn't decide if she was revealing her bare chest (gasp!) or a t-shirt with an image on it. (we were pretty sure it was the latter). so laura's hair (which in real life is short) was very very long and looked quite lovely. she stood up at one point to fuss with it and fix it. it was really quite glamorous. i told her that her hair looked beautiful and she replied, 'yes, i know.' well that reply set me and jody off giggling. but really it did look beautiful and i guess she did know.
then everyone got separated and i was alone. i tried to call jody and emily on the phone but couldn't get through. so instead i called matthew. we were chatting (about what i don't know. maybe cardboard tube fighting?)...anyway, while we were talking i decided to get on the skyride. suddenly it headed upwards quite steeply, and then started making roller-coaster like turns. i was screaming in surprise and fun and fear, but trying not to do so too loudly as i was still on the phone with matthew.
next thing i know i'm in a tiny little apartment with jody and emily. there is some bickering over the fact that we were separated and they thought i didn't try hard enough to reach them by phone (i explained i had called 2 or 3 times in an hour and a half, but they thought that was insufficient). it was hard to stand up straight in the little apartment. but, apparently the former, recent inhabitants of the apartment worked at a bakery and so dresser and kitchen drawers were full of pastries! i was especially interested in the chocolate-covered ones.
