sorry officer

i was almost arrested by a tough-turned-friendly-with-a-boston-accent cop for pulling on u-turn on the ave (didn't look like the ave, but it was). 'shoot, i'm sorry officer,' i said. i told him i had seen motorcycles make u-turns on the ave and was excited that u-turns were legal in seattle, but that i should have 'looked it up'.

earlier in the night. . .

i was taking a small group of students to microsoft to do research. someone asked if we all had our microsoft names and passwords, but one student did not. her mother was there and started to cry because her daughter was falling behind in school. i assured them there was no need to worry and that she was right on target with her research. i then realized that i did not have a ms name and password, and i didn't even really know anything about them at all.
