jenny jones

i was starting a job at rei on xmas eve at 6pm. i completely lost track of time until cousin k told me it was (yikes!) 6pm. i showed up late on my bike, which the employees almost didn't let me bring in the building until i told them i worked there. when i started work it turned out really not to be rei at all, but to be the jenny jones show. since i was an employee i got to ride around on this small roller coaster on stage while ms. jones interviewed people. it went upside-down occasionally and i was the only roller-coaster-rider not totally panicked over that. i was grinning away.

well, two of my fellow riders apparently did not know you were supposed to hold on, so they fell out of the roller coaster. luckily we were very close to the ground and they did not get hurt.

there was an intermission, and they wanted me to ride the roller-coaster for the second half of the show wearing the ghost-of-christmas-present wig from a tap dance christmas carol. i agreed, but i was worried it would fall off while i was upside-down. i planned to use a lot of bobby-pins.

at one point someone brought jenny jones a coke. i really wanted a coke, too, but no one brought me one because i am not jenny jones. she hardly drank any of it when she decided she was done and just dropped it on the floor. i was so angry that she wasted the coke when i wanted some so badly, but then i decided i would not have wanted to share her straw anyway.
